Christmas came early

for Darling Daughter....

First a phone call...

then the tears...

Years of hard work

have rewarded her with...

admission to the

University of Michigan

Music, Theatre and Dance Department

The look of disbelief 

on her face..

And pure elation as she reads

the letter...

Congratulations...

Can't wait to see what you

can do 

at the 

U of M!

for the last time
in the ballet
'Twas the Night Before Christmas

Santa wishes the senior girls a Merry Christmas...

Autographs are signed...

Next year she will attend the Christmas reception

as an alumni....

It has been pure delight watching you
grace the stage every holiday season...

even in deep waters.

Always on the lookout for opportunity

and adventure...

You know who you are ...

And where you are going....

It is fun watching you move from

child....

to teenager...

to adult....

Happy 23rd birthday, #1....

We love you!

Come sit on my comfy cushioned chairs and have
a cup of coffee...

Season's first snow...

Twenty three years ago...

The day started out with a sky

blue and clear.

The grass was green...

the birds were busy eating seeds and berries.

Squirrels were scurrying about

checking out their winter stash of acorns

and walnuts.

As late afternoon approached

and 

clouds appeared...

the season's first 

snow flurries

tumbled out of the sky.

Falling gently at first...

dancing about ....

playfully...

joyfully...

in anticipation...

......of the arrival...... 

By evening the sky was a blur of

 swirling snowflakes....

falling harder and faster...

...with a sense of urgency.

After all...

There was a job to do.

Everything needed to be clothed in

winter's finest ware....

the winter child would soon be here.

The midnight hour ...

Snow hung on every twig and branch...

it lay like pillows

on the boughs of the

evergreen trees.

The ground was covered in

an icy blue blanket of 

sparkling snow. 

Everything was just right...

just in time...
for our first baby's arrival.

Now,

Twenty three years later....

the sky is once again 

alive with the 

season's 

first snow!

The trees are covered...

the earth is covered...

in anticipation 

......of......

a birthday...
