Beeeeautiful Bees....
While trying to catch the
spectacular explosion of pink azaleas....
a fuzzy little friend came by for
a visit and a spot of sweet dew.
I was fascinated by his grand size...
his furry black and yellow jacket...
his transparent silvery wings.
I watched as he buzzed from flower to flower...
dragging his heavy body..
gathering sweet nectar.
Oh, the Secret Life of Bees !

Beautiful Day....
Today is another perfect weather day. The sun is shining and the sky is a brilliant blue.
The air is dry and warm...
However, all of the signs are there.
The leaves in the trees are beginning to turn.
The garden is starting to fade and wilt.
There are little grape-like berries hanging on the fence ivy.
There is a constant buzzing of insects in the trees.
Blue Jays make their presence known to all.
And the flowers are making one last big splash before they retreat.
Squirrels are almost too busy to tease little Sophie dog...but they take a 'time out' from
their frantic nut gathering to play a game of 'catch me if you can.'
Of course, the squirrels always win...
Poor Sophie.
